The POSTERA project was created for the exhibition at the Design Center in Kielce. The project, which was supposed to be discreet and intended for a specific space, was so popular that it began to circulate on the web, hitting many industry portals and blogs. Our surprise was the greater that, along with popularity, we began to be invited to participate in exhibitions all over the world. Posters from this series have appeared, among others, at the Syfon Studio exhibition as part of the Bolivian Poster Biennale BICeBé and the exhibition WARS / ZAWA during Torino Graphic Days 03.

The project consists of 15 b1 posters devoted to the contemporary perception of graphic design and the poster cult, which is especially strong in Poland.

We can hear more and more often that the poster as a graphic form is over, is finished. Monuments of poster culture have started to be demolished, the sacredness of the Polish School of Posters has been insulted, the last bastions of the former power, such as the Warsaw Biennale, are under attack from all sides: this state of siege on the fortress causes increasing tension. Graphic groups and designers make deceptive plans for a war of destruction, and their generals are praised by the supporters of Henryk Tomaszewski, David Carson, Sagmeister and Josef Müller-Brockman. What is all this fuss about?

Syfon Studio asks why the poster ranks übermensch in the category of graphic design. In a kind of comic book consisting of a series of three-color posters, we decided to present slogans related to the culture / cult of the poster. In this way, we warm up the conversation about the poster, which comes back like a hiccup in the media related to graphics / design. Talking about posters is eternal: we are here only for a moment. Just for a joke.
